Personal Training in the gym

12 October 2021

YMCA Health and Wellbeing at the George Williams Centre in Bridgwater has undergone a refresh with a new look gym, new team and new online membership portal.

After being closed during the national lockdowns, the new YMCA Health and Wellbeing team have refreshed the gym, expanding across the first floor of the building. The gym has been spread out across two rooms, giving users more space for their workout, whilst still being able to enjoy the view over the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal.

As well as benefitting from the gym, YMCA Health and Wellbeing members now have access to a brand new timetable of classes and can now book in for personal training sessions. New additions to the team mean that members can benefit from a variety of experience and knowledge and will be able to book classes through the brand new online booking system, GymCatch.

Jean Petrie, Lead Fitness Instructor at the George Williams Centre said: “Seeing our lovely members come back to the centre is great and everyone is enjoying the new look of the gym floor. Taking care of our own health and wellbeing is so important, and there’s no better way of doing it than to get moving. Whether you join our group classes or prefer individual gym sessions, myself and the team are on hand to make sure you are getting the most out of your membership and we  hope to see some new faces joining us soon.”
