You can offer a young person a room for the night

Our Nightstop scheme relies on the kindness of volunteers who have space in their homes, opening their doors to a young person for a short time – usually no more than 7 nights.

Host families are volunteer families who have been approved and trained by us. A host family will provide a young person with a room of their own, breakfast, an evening meal and access to wash facilities. Most importantly you offer a listening ear to our young people.

Hosts receive reimbursement for their expenses. If you can offer a room to a young person and are interested in becoming a host please contact us for an information pack or informal chat.

For further information please email info@ymca-dg.org

By volunteering for us, you will be part of making a difference to the lives of our clients, whilst at the same time working within a vibrant team and learning new skills.
