Residents, staff and volunteers from Minehead attended an event at Minehead Eye hosted by Positive People.
The Positive People & Hopeful Families projects are funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund. They offer a lifeline to people who are not in work, no matter what reason.
Like YMCA Dulverton Group, they believe that no barriers should stand in the way of what individuals want to achieve. The Positive People & Hopeful Families provide opportunities for 1:1 support and host exciting activities that can help build individuals confidence and meet new people.
Our residents we able to try out ‘DJ’ing, aerial yoga, virtual reality and computer art and design.
Darren, one of our residents who has struggles with literacy skills throughout his life, had the courage to sign up to start a course that will help improve and develop this skill!
