Having lived on the streets since 2007, Charles came to the Beach Hotel just before Christmas.
Whilst living on the streets in Taunton, Charles was physically assaulted which caused him extreme trust issues with strangers,
However, since working closely with Charles, he has managed to overcome some of his fears around trust and has been bidding on property for his next venture into independence.
Charles viewed a property on Tuesday 5th February in Minehead. He was hesitant to take the property, but with the reassurance and supports from staff at the YMCA, he has now gained the confidence to continue onto his next stage in life.
Charles explained, “I am very thankful for all the help and support I have received from YMCA staff” Charles has now moved into his own 1 bedroom flat and remains in contact with the support staff, we wish him all the best for his future!
