The festival, named ‘Offest’, was a great success and we were even lucky enough that it didn’t rain!

Over 1500 people attended, with families and young people enjoying the day and the range of activities on offer. Local organisations supported the event offering their services on activities such as ‘Archery Active’ and Nerf Gun Fights!

The event mixed traditional family fun activities such as face painting alongside outdoor yoga, meaning there really was something for everyone. The fabulous volunteers from within YMCA Dulverton Group also played an important role on the day, with extremely popular activities such as our very own bouncy castle and climbing wall, although the queues may haunt us!

The whole event was organised to support local causes, with the headline charity being our own YMCA Weston Homelessness Support project. The funds raised totalled £10,000 for our project and will go towards developing our services and the work that the team does to support those who find themselves homeless. Total funds amounted to over £18,000 and other local charities will benefit from the generosity of those who came along and the dedication and hard work of the organisers.

We would like to thank everyone involved with making the event the great day it was, from the organisers, volunteers and concessions, everyone worked hard to make the day successful and great fun for all those attending. The money will make a huge difference to not only us, but the other charities supported by the event and we are extraordinarily grateful to everyone.
