The Great Western Hotel in Taunton will be open on Christmas Day this year, as the team volunteer their time to prepare a community meal for those who are spending Christmas alone.
The hotel team will be giving up their time on Christmas Day to prepare parsnip soup and turkey rolls for those who wish to join them.
Cara Strom, Great Western Hotel manager said: “Christmas is a time of celebration and being with loved ones, but for some, they have nowhere to go and no one to spend it with.
“We will be opening our doors for anyone who wants to come along, have some food and spend Christmas Day in a warm, friendly and festive atmosphere.”
The community meal will be hosted at the Great Western Hotel between 11am – 2pm and is free to attend.
