We’ve spent years building something brilliant with our Daycamps. Children have tried new things, stretched their imaginations and come home buzzing with stories. Now we’re taking everything you’ve loved and turned it into an outdoor adventure holiday club like no other.
Children from Reception through to Year 6 are invited to our stunning 11-acre site at Yew Trees Farm in Somerset for outdoor adventures and high-energy challenges that make every day feel like something new.

Summer Holidays

Week 1 | 20–24 July | Carnival of Sports
Try a huge variety of sports and physical challenges from classic team games to skill challenges, mini tournaments to creative sports activities.

Week 2 | 27–31 July | Under the Sea
An ocean-inspired journey of creativity, discovery and fun exploring marine habitats and underwater worlds building curiosity, teamwork and imagination along the way.

Week 3 | 3–7 August | Outdoor Explorers
Can you build a shelter that survives the night? Navigate your way through the woods? Find what’s living under that log? This week is pure adventure!

Week 4 | 10–14 August | Animal Adventures
Opening children’s eyes to the extraordinary world of wildlife exploring different animals and their habitats that sparks empathy, curiosity and wonder.

Week 5 | 17–21 August | Farm to Fork
Where does your food actually come from? Farm to Fork week answers the question in the most hands-on way possible with planting, growing, cooking and tasting.

Week 6 | 24–28 August | Myths & Legends
Unleashing imagination like no other. Children step into a world of storytelling, drama, creative arts and team challenges inspired by legendary tales from across the world.

Week 7 | 1–4 September | Future Innovators
For the curious minds, young scientists and engineers who want to know how things work. From beginner robotics to simple machines and mini rocket launches!
Who are we? Award Winning Holiday Childcare for Somerset Families
We know that school holidays can mean weeks of juggling and that finding trustworthy, quality childcare your child is excited about is easier said than done.
Core hours are from 9.15am – 4pm with extended hours available from 7.45am to 5pm, throughout the school holidays (not Bank Holidays) and our Ofsted registration means you can use Tax-Free Childcare and childcare vouchers to help with the cost.

- Ages: Reception (min. one term completed) through to Year 6.
- Cost: £175 per child, per week. Book by the week.

FAQ’S
The staff that make up the Day Camp team have several years’ experience with youth work and early years backgrounds as well as National Governing Body qualified instructors. All staff that work for YMCA Dulverton Group have been thoroughly trained and all hold up to date DBS and safeguarding certificates. There will a first aider on site at all times.
Yes, all children will require a packed lunch* and need to bring a refillable water bottle that they can fill at our water station throughout the day. We will also have two snack breaks during the day so something healthy to keep them going until lunch!
*Please avoid putting anything that may contain nuts into your child’s packed lunch, as we do have children who have nut allergies attending

No, there is no need for your child to have money.
No, all equipment needed will be provided by the YMCA and has been fully safety checked prior to use. We would strongly discourage anyone from bringing personal equipment to prevent any loss or damage occurring.
Below is a full list of what your child will need at Day Camp.
• Appropriate clothing for activities
• Coat
• Spare change of clothes
• Food and drink
• Hot days – sun cream, hat, plenty to drink
• Cold days – gloves, hat, coat
• Closed toe shoes such as trainers not flip flops
• We do not recommend wearing jewellery as most activities will require this to be removed for safety reasons.
• Mobile phones, iPods and other similar items are not recommended if brought they will need to be put in a safe place during activities, these are the responsibility of the owner.
Please ensure that all property has your child’s name on. In the event that your child has misplaced something, please see a team member at the end of the day.
Throughout the week, your child will be able to try a range of activities including Archery, Climbing and Boating as well as some super fun, different themed activities.
You can drop your child off at 8:30am and pick them up at 5pm each day. Throughout the school holidays, we offer Daycamps Monday-Friday except on Bank Holidays. Bookings are made by week and cost £175.
