21 Hours a week, include an early or late Outreach Walk, as directed by the Homeless Support Manager and with prior arrangement.

Weston-super-Mare YMCA, part of the YMCA Dulverton Group, have run a project for assisting and supporting rough sleepers within North Somerset for 2 years. Homelessness as a problem nationally continues to increase and many of our client group have multi layered complexities which can prevent them for securing long term sustainable accommodation. The Homeless Support Officer’s role will be to support the Homeless Support Manager in building trusting and professional relationships with our clients, removing barriers to services, and supporting the client to move along a positive pathway which is suited to their needs. This will include working closely alongside external agencies and with North Somerset Council’s Homeless Prevention Team.

This post is being fully funded and supported by North Somerset Council.

Salary: £21,074 pro rata.
