We are looking for various Engagement Leads to work within our young people’s housing projects. These roles are available in North Somerset.

Our teams take an asset based approach to actively encourage positive progression for all the young people we work alongside. Creating professional, positive and trusting relationships will be key to working together with every resident in overcoming the barriers which they face whilst they make steps to move on to their independence.  Previous experience of supporting individuals in youth services or housing would be an advantage.

As a service we provide a safe and welcoming environment for the individuals we work alongside, with their aspirations and desires at the forefront of the support we offer.

Overall we seek to encourage and enable everyone we support to become empowered by providing opportunities for progressive change. This can be challenging yet rewarding work that helps individuals to belong, contribute and thrive.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week including working evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

The setting is in the heart of the town and a 2 minute walk from the nearest primary school. It is open all year round except bank holidays and Christmas week.

If you enjoy being around children and helping them learn, then this is your chance to earn whilst you train. Topics you will study include child and young person development, safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, supporting positive behaviour, partnership working in services for children and young people, health and safety, supporting positive environments, child development, practical care, planning and implementing activities, and observation.

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (20% off the job training at Weston College and other venues)

Salary: £4.70 per hour for first six months
